Cornell Construction has been in business for over 60 years starting out with a single axel dump truck and a bulldozer. Cornell has evolved over the years from being one of the largest sewer and water main contractors in South Western Ontario through the 1970’s where we looked after all aspects of the job from excavation to the finished product, (hot mix asphalt and chip seal). In the 1980’s Cornell shifted its attention to the finished asphalt surfaces in both hot mix and emulsion products. Today we specialize in industrial commercial hot mix paving and surface treatments such as chip sealing, slurry sealing, dust suppressant (emulsified dust layer) tack coat and granular sealing for MTO, municipal and industrial commercial projects.

Cornell Construction is a Pavement Maintenance and Preservation Company. We are always looking at where we can expand to best service our customers. This year we added the ability to offer Micro and Slurry surfaces to Industrial / Commercial customers. As well Colour Micro surfaces, a new process to North America. These proven cost effective and efficient systems have been used for years by MTO and Municipal agencies.

Cornell Construction has also been involved in winter maintenance with both municipal and MTO contracts for well over 25 years. We currently operate over 20 units sanding and plowing highways and municipal roads in the Brantford, Ancaster, Hamilton and Burlington area under Municipal and AMC (Area Maintenance Contracts).
